A leading facilities management company is seeking a Fabric Engineer to manage customer service and site operations. The role involves handling post, conducting inductions, performing minor repairs, and ensuring issues are escalated appropriately. Ideal candidates will have proactive communication skills and the ability to conduct site inspections. This is a vital position within a well-known leisure contract located in Lesicester Forest East.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of internal / external post on site.
  • Provide and record inductions for contractors and visitors.
  • Be the first point of contact for issue resolution.
  • Undertake site inspections and raise issue concerns.
  • Represent Facilities Management function on site.
  • Ensure concerns are escalated to the UKPN team.
  • Perform minor fabric repairs.
  • Perform minor electrical tasks.
  • Perform minor plumbing tasks.

Fabric Engineer
Job Purpose

The fabric engineer will provide great customer service and will be instrumental in ensuring that the day-to-day operations for 1 of the largest and well known leisure contracts, located in Leicester.

Role Summary

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of internal / external post on site.
  • The staff member will provide and record inductions for contractors and visitors on behalf of the client.
  • The first point of contact for issue resolution.
  • The operative will undertake site inspections and will raise issues concerns with the Regional Manager. They will be proactive in ensuring that any faults are chased.
  • The operative will represent the Facilities Management function on site and will be responsible for delivering a high level of customer service.
  • The operative will ensure that any concerns directed to them by staff regarding the building or services are escalated to the UKPN team.
  • Minor fabric repairs - including but not limited to:
    • Tightening loose door handles/catches.
    • Tightening / replacing toilet seats.
    • Tightening furniture fixings.
    • Fitting / adjusting monitor arms.
  • Minor electrical tasks - including but not limited to:
    • Replacing desktop fuses.
    • Checking power supplies from sockets to desks.
    • Checking distribution board breakers.
    • Replacing lamps.
  • Minor plumbing tasks - including but not limited to:
    • Isolating water supplies.
