Fabric Engineer (Foot Mobile)

Salary: £38,000 per annum + overtime + call-out allowance

Call-out Rota: 1 in 6

Location: Westminster, London

We are looking for an experienced Foot Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our maintenance team, covering a portfolio of commercial buildings in the Westminster area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on professional who takes pride in delivering high standards of building fabric maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and reactive works across commercial sites.
  • Undertake a wide range of fabric maintenance tasks, including joinery, painting, tiling, patch plastering, lock repairs, and general building repairs.
  • Respond to maintenance issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety and company procedures.
  • Participate in the 1-in-6 call-out rota to provide emergency support when required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer or Building Maintenance Operative within a commercial environment.
  • Strong practical skills across a range of trades.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently.
  • Must be happy to work on foot across central London sites (travel expenses covered).
