Job summary

Burberry is seeking a Fabric Development Assistant to join the Fabric Development team and support fabric delivery across collections. You will help manage information, samples and supplier activity, ensuring accuracy from concept through to collection readiness.

You will work closely with Fabric Developers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to maintain quality, craftsmanship and creativity that Burberry represents, coordinating milestones, budgets and sample deliveries in a fast-paced luxury

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Fabric Development or a related product development environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across large volumes of information.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of costs, budgets and product development processes.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and external partners.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end fabric development process across seasonal collections, ensuring key milestones are met.
• Maintain and update PLM systems with accurate fabric information throughout the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate supplier communications and help ensure sample deliveries arrive on time and within budget.
• Prepare and maintain fabric pages, collection boards and fabric bibles to support product development activities.
• Manage fabric libraries and provide accurate fabric information to development and design teams.
• Raise purchase orders for fabric samples and provide administrative support to facilitate efficient team operations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across large volumes of information.
