Job summary

Stratton Mills is recruiting a Fabric Cutter to join their team for full-time shifts on a temp-to-perm basis. The role focuses on cutting high-quality fabric from garment patterns, primarily with a band knife, and contributing to daily production targets.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in fabric cutting, familiarity with garment patterns, and a keen eye for quality. This is a hands-on position requiring teamwork in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience cutting garments or transferable work experience is ideal.
• A minimum of 3 years experience within the industry.
• Competent using a band knife or other electrical cutting equipment desirable.

Responsibilities

• The cutting of high-quality fabric from patterns/templates for garment manufacture.
• Cutting, predominantly using a band knife; other cutting methods include electrical, vertical, rotary cutters and shears.
• Working in a team to achieve daily targets.
• Laying cloth for bulk production as part of daily tasks.

Stratton Mills are an employment agency who provide Fashion Personnel around the UK. We have a great opportunity for Fabric Cutter. Successful candidates will be offered full time shifts on a temp to perm basis.

Duties for the Fabric Cutter Role:

• The cutting of high-quality fabric from patterns/templates for garment manufacture.
• Cutting, predominantly using a band knife. Other cutting practices involve electrical, vertical cutters, rotary cutters and shears.
• Working and co-operating in a team environment to achieve daily targets.
• Daily tasks will vary and include the laying of cloth for bulk production.

Ideal Fabric Cutter Candidate:

• Ability to adopt best working practices to achieve accuracy and high standards of quality in cutting.
• Previous cutting experience cutting garments or transferable work experience ideal.
• Competent using a band knife or other electrical cutting equipment desirable.
• Knowledge of garment patterns would be advantageous for the role also.
• A minimum of 3 years experience gained within the industry.
