Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking an experienced Faade Engineering Manager to lead a growing technical division on complex remediation and façade projects across the UK. The role combines technical leadership, delivery oversight and business development in a national context.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams, shape technical standards and drive best practice while ensuring compliance with the latest Building Regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in faade and/or structural disciplines.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex remediation projects.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership preferred.
• Familiarity with Building Safety Act, PAS 9980 and Building Regulations.
• Strong client-facing consultancy and project delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary faade and structural teams across multiple UK projects.
• Oversee faade investigations, structural assessments, remediation schemes and external wall system projects.
• Provide technical expertise across curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, masonry faades, balconies, roofing interfaces, windows, doors and external insulation systems.
• Support compliance with the Building Safety Act, PAS 9980, Gateway processes and Building Regulations.
• Work with fire engineers on fire strategies and passive fire protection.
• Review structural calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Mentor engineers, develop technical standards and support CPD across the team.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth and commercial success.

Are you an experienced Faade Engineering Manager ready to take the next step in your career?

A leading multidisciplinary building safety consultancy is seeking an ambitious Senior Faade Engineering Manager to lead its growing technical division. With a strong pipeline of complex remediation, faade and structural projects across the UK, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business at the forefront of building safety and technical consultancy.

As a Faade Engineering Manager, you'll provide technical leadership across a multidisciplinary team of faade specialists, structural engineers, consultants, graduates and CAD/Revit technicians. You'll oversee the successful delivery of projects spanning residential, commercial, healthcare, education and public sector developments while helping shape technical standards and drive best practice.

The Role:

This is a senior leadership position combining technical expertise, project delivery, commercial awareness and team development. You'll lead faade and structural services from investigation through to remediation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the latest legislation and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multidisciplinary faade and structural teams across multiple UK projects.
• Oversee faade investigations, structural assessments, remediation schemes and external wall system projects.
• Provide technical expertise across curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, masonry faades, balconies, roofing interfaces, windows, doors and external insulation systems.
• Support compliance with the Building Safety Act, PAS 9980, Gateway processes and Building Regulations.
• Work collaboratively with fire engineers on fire strategies, compartmentation and passive fire protection.
• Review structural calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Mentor engineers, develop technical standards and support professional development across the team.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth and commercial success.

About You:

You'll already have significant experience within faade and/or structural disciplines and be confident leading technical teams while managing complex projects.

You'll ideally have experience in:

• Faade and structural design
• Building remediation and existing buildings
• Cladding remediation and external wall systems
• PAS 9980, Building Regulations and Approved Document B
• Structural calculations and technical reporting
• Leading multidisciplinary teams
• Client-facing consultancy and commercial project delivery

Chartered status, or working towards Chartership with a recognised professional institution, would be advantageous but is not essential.
