Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a Race Engineering Student on a 1-year placement based at Enstone. You will support the track from our Race Ops facility, collaborating with race and performance engineering, race strategy, and analytics teams to deliver data-driven insights during events.

You will develop and apply tools for data analysis, assist with pre-event simulations and post-event reporting, and contribute to future tool ideas while learning the day-to-day operations of a Formula One

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport Engineering, Data Science or Analytics and looking for an industry placement as your penultimate year.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Python or MATLAB is required.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Event preparation, collating relevant past data and pre-event simulation
• Provide analysis during race weekends, both real-time in session support and post session
• Assist in post event reporting ranging from strategy and pitstops to competitor analysis
• Assist in developing our current tools and processes, plus contribute to future tool ideas
