Job summary

Blenheim Schools is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for Oakfields Prep in Upminster. You will support children across the Early Years and Lower School, helping them access learning and develop confidence in a nurturing environment.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent), strong communication, and the ability to work as part of a team. Monday–Friday, 35 hours per week, term-time contract.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent required.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support students in accessing learning activities, including those with Special Educational Needs.
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences and support the planning and assessment process.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.
• Monitor students' progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing procedures at all times.
