St Peter's School York is seeking a Room Leader for The Rise Nursery, responsible for leading a designated nursery room for children aged six months to three years. The role focuses on delivering high-quality EYFS provision, leading staff, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.

You will act as a keyperson, build strong family partnerships, and collaborate with the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. Start date January 2027 with in-house training prior to opening.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the planning and delivery of high-quality EYFS provision.
• Monitor children's progress and support positive learning outcomes.
• Act as a keyperson, building strong relationships with children and families.
• Create an inclusive environment that meets individual children's needs.
• Lead the day-to-day running of the room and ensure staff deployment, routines and ratios are maintained.
• Maintain excellent standards of care, health, safety and hygiene.
• Create an engaging and well-organised learning environment in line with the nursery ethos and pedagogy.
• Collaborate with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations.
• Support, coach and role-model best practice for team members.
• Assist with induction, mentoring and development of staff and apprentices.
• Develop positive relationships with parents and carers and share information about children's wellbeing and development.
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted and nursery policies and support inspection readiness.
