Job description

Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Nursery/ EYFS Practitioner to join a well-established mainstream Primary school which has a nursery unit attached in Salford.

This nursery unit provides essential support and respite to children aged 2-5 years old with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The setting operates alongside school hours, with an 8:30 start and 3:30 finish Monday – Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care and education to young children with SEND, ensuring their needs are met in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Support individual learning plans, using your knowledge of SEND to tailor activities.
• Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of each child.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere and respond to the diverse needs of children in the setting.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of fun and engaging activities that promote growth, development, and independence.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, particularly with children with SEND.

Knowledge:

• A deep understanding of SEND and the challenges faced by young children with disabilities or developmental delays.
