Job summary

YMCA Heart of England in Shirley is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to support children aged 0-5 in an EYFS setting. You will help create a warm, enabling environment and work with staff, parents and external agencies to ensure every child thrives.

Experience with a 2-year-old group is preferred, and you will hold NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Paediatric First Aid, and safeguarding training up to date. A Christian ethos underpins the caring culture of the nursery.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of working in an EYFS setting and create an enabling environment.
• Experience with a 2-year-old group is preferred.
• Committed to safeguarding and confidentiality when working with children, families and external agencies.
• Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding/Child Protection training must be in date.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and friendly atmosphere to support children's growth and development.
• Build excellent relationships with children and communicate boundaries.
• Work with the Nursery Manager and staff to plan activities and learning.
• Safeguard and support each child as part of a holistic approach.
