Job summary

Rainbow House nursery in Liverpool is seeking a motivated childcare assistant to support high quality care across rooms, from babies to pre-school. You will work as part of a cooperative team, follow EYFS principles, and help maintain a welcoming, safe environment for every child.

Expect flexible working patterns, commitment to training, and a role that may involve assisting with snacks, routine tasks, and liaising with parents to support children's development.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification is level 2 in Childcare.
• Rainbow House aims to have all staff at N.N.E.B.level or equivalent plus Level 3 childcare qualification with some previous experience working in a day nursery.
• Enthusiasm and the flexibility necessary to fulfil the description and attend various training courses throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• To ensure a high level of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the nursery.
• To ensure the principles of EYFS are implemented.
• To give support to other personnel within the nursery, and work as a cooperating team member.
• To maintain a respectful attitude towards management and all staff, children and parents.
• To implement the daily routine of the room in which you are placed.
• To be committed to taking up training opportunities to further develop your role.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children.
• Take part in keeping records and ensure they are filed away correctly.
• Be aware of policies and procedures and ensure that they are adhered to.
• Reflect on practice and routines to meet the needs of individual children.
• Work with parents and SEN children to achieve full integration within the nursery.
• Plan for individual key children, ensuring assessments are up to date and shared with parents.
