Role and Responsibilities

As an EYFS Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the daily operations of the nursery and contributing to a positive learning environment for young children. You will assist in creating engaging activities, providing a safe and caring atmosphere, and supporting the overall development of the children in your care.

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS curriculum activities.
  • Support childrens learning and development through play:based experiences.
  • Ensure a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Provide care and support to children, responding to their individual needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with nursery staff to achieve shared goals.
  • Maintain accurate records as required.
Requirements
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the updated service.
  • Must have the full right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in childcare or a similar role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EYFS principles and practices is beneficial.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, available for day:to:day and long:term full:time assignments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for early years education and child development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
