The opportunity

EY Guyana is recruiting for an EY Parthenon experienced professional at Senior level to participate in M&A projects, focusing on providing value to our clients through insights, factual conclusions and advice.

You will work in teams with experienced M&A professionals, where you will apply your technical skills to assess a company’s historical financial performance and position, identify opportunities, and risks, and report on these to our clients.

As you progress your career with EY, you will have the opportunity to work on more complex transactions, increasingly lead teams, begin to build relationships with our clients and other members of the corporate finance community and take on broader roles within our business.

Your key responsibilities
  • Gather, research, collate and verify relevant financial information to formulate views.
  • Conduct in‑depth industry research to support due diligence efforts, including market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and identification of potential risks and opportunities.
  • Analyse relevant financial information by reviewing accounting records and participating in interviews to identify significant trends or key issues and generate insights and factual conclusions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial data and documentation
  • Develop reports that are clear and impactful, utilizing databooks (excel), graphics, tables, and models, clearly communicating key findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Actively participate in internal and external meetings
  • Develop an understanding of our clients' business agenda and industry, and the transaction life cycle.
  • Supervise and coach assistants, help them enhance their contribution and develop their capabilities
  • Contribute to business development efforts by preparing proposals, pitch materials, and client presentations
  • Work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.
