Job summary

Link2resourceltd is looking for an Extraction Technician to support the development of extraction projects in Barrow-upon-Humber. This 12-month fixed-term contract presents an exciting opportunity for candidates with a BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a similar field. In this role, you'll develop microalgae processing methods, optimise extraction processes, and run trials. Ideal candidates will have hands-on oil extraction experience and knowledge of cell disruption. Competitive package offered.

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in a relevant field required.
Hands-on experience with oil extraction essential.
Knowledge of cell disruption and lipid analysis an advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop and test microalgae cell disruption methods.
Optimise solvent-based and mechanical oil extraction processes.
Run laboratory and pilot-scale trials.
Analyse oil yield, purity and EPA content.
Document results and support process improvement.
