A valid driver’s license is also necessary for this position.

Job description

Cityworx are recruiting on behalf of a client who are looking for an Extra Care Scheme Manager to lead teams at extra care scheme services in the Reading area.

The Scheme Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the schemes and ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to residents.

Your main duties as the Scheme Manager will include :
  • Being a positive voice for the service by communicating with service users and their families in a dignified and person-centred way
  • Deliver services effectively and efficiently and have clear monitoring procedures and processes in place to ensure standards are continually met
  • Provide management, leadership, and support to all staff
  • Must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role including, but not limited to, providing support with dignified personal care and domestic tasks.
  • Ensure good communication and links with all stakeholders regarding the provision of services including commissioners, service users, relatives, social work teams etc.
  • Ensure that staff are trained for their roles and responsibilities and that all groups of staff within the team have access to appropriate training and learning opportunities.
  • Put in place measures to comply with CQC regulations and work to achieve the best care standards possible
  • On call duties

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in management of a care service, ideally having worked in an Extra Care scheme or similar care setting. You will need to hold, or be working towards, NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be a driver
