A leading manufacturing company in the construction sector is seeking an experienced External Sales Manager to sell concrete reinforcement solutions. You will cover a nationwide client base, mainly focusing on the South East. This role offers a competitive salary between £45,000 and £70,000, along with a car allowance and additional bonuses based on performance.
The External Sales Manager’s position will be covering a nationally located client base within the construction sector but with a real focus on the ‘South’ and ‘South East’. You will be home based but have a weekly visit to head office in Richmond, Surrey, to build strong internal relationships with the business. The External Sales Manager will be selling a concrete reinforcement solution used in any construction projects that require it throughout the UK. Your main client base will be Main & Sub-Contractors using concrete within their building projects and a good number of your leads will be from in-bound sources (around 250-300 come in to the business per week!). The External Sales Manager will join a team who are all working to shared goals and targets and support each other. This is a fast-paced sales role with an ever evolving market and the opportunity for the construction sector to take off in 2026 means a potentially very lucrative year.
The External Sales Manager will be targeted new business orders per week and could be working on large projects going into the millions. This is a varied role where no two projects are the same and the opportunity to earn bonus is based upon team & company performance (previous years have been very strong). This is a key role within the team dynamic and as such is pivotal to the success of everyone. This role can lead the successful incumbent to a career in key accounts in the future. This role is all about getting in front of Contractors & Housebuilders to build long term relationships in order to unlock opportunities for future quotations & enquiries to compete in for the wider business.
This role will suit a hungry, ambitious, and progressive construction sales professional who is upwardly mobile, keen to get out there in front of customers, and bring with them a growth mindset to help drive the current business forward into 2026!

Package: £45,000 – 70,000 basic salary DOE, Company Car Allowance of £5,000, Annual discretionary company bonus £5k-10k, pension, laptop, phone, 21 days holiday + stats (rises over time)
