CPP Investments is seeking an Analyst in External Portfolio Management to support evaluation, monitoring and management of external investment partners across global public markets. This 12-month contract offers exposure to hedge fund due diligence, investment research and portfolio analysis, with opportunities to contribute to investment recommendations and meetings.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme, or graduated in April 2025 or later.
• Understanding of public capital markets; familiarity with alternative investments is an asset.
• Strong analytical, qualitative research, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to contribute to investment discussions.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and eagerness to learn and contribute.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and analyse existing fund investments with flexible portfolio tools.
• Perform hedge fund due diligence evaluating processes and team capabilities.
• Evaluate co-investment opportunities across equities, credit and macro strategies.
• Research hedge fund strategies and performance across markets to inform insights.
• Support weekly research meetings and contribute to investment discussions.
• Prepare investment memoranda and participate in decision meetings.
• Contribute to research on portfolio strategy, factor modeling and portfolio optimisation.
