Job summary

Atlas is hiring a Cleaner to join our on-site team in Sheffield. The role operates on a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern with working hours between 05:00 and 09:00.

The hourly rate is £14.00, and you will clean and maintain designated areas, both inside and outside the estate. We value attention to detail and a positive attitude, offering learning and development opportunities, a supportive team environment, and the chance to progress within Atlas.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning buildings and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Basic spoken English required for safety and communication with site staff.
• Ability to carry out physical cleaning tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site cleaning and waste collection in designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment in accordance with safety training and COSHH sheets.
• Ensure site health and safety rules are followed and safety signs are used when needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and provide courteous service to clients.

Purpose of Job

To carry out all duties required in connection with the cleaning and waste collection within designated areas of the Estate (outside as well as inside of the building). Job is physically demanding, requiring excellent attention to detail, willingness to adapt and learn within short period of time.

Tasks

• As part of the Atlas Family, you’ll dedicate your time on site to going the extra mile and seamlessly meeting the needs of Atlas’ clients.

• To use vacuum, scrubbers and other items of cleaning equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, Health and Safety manuals and only after appropriate training has been received

• To pressure wash external building paving using specialist equipment and chemicals as per training provided

• To carry out general cleaning duties as instructed within the premises/demised area

• To ensure a thorough understanding of site Health and Safety information

• To have read and abide by specific site rules and regulations

• To handle and use any chemical or solution only in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and after reading and fully understanding the appropriate COSHH sheets

• Responding positively to any reasonable instruction from a manager

• Displaying a positive, friendly and ‘can-do’ attitude

• Presenting a friendly and helpful attitude to customers

• Ensuring that every duty is carried out in a safe manner and that all Health and Safety legislation is adhered to, particularly the placing of warning signs when attempting any cleaning task that may involve risk to others

• Completing Company administration in a timely and effective manner.

• Attending meetings and other Company activities as required.

• Presenting a professional image consistent with the company at all times

• Ensuring all company property is kept safe and in good condition

• Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies

• Any other duty reasonably required by the Company
