Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?

Join our high‑performing Corporate and Government Affairs (CGA) team in the UK and Ireland as our new External Affairs Lead, and take responsibility for leading our communications and public affairs efforts in the UK and Ireland.

You’ll shape our strategy, enhance our reputation, and work with stakeholders to support our business goals, all with the support of your team (four direct reports) and the Corporate Affairs Director UK&I.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and lead our corporate communications and public affairs strategy for the UK and Ireland.
  • Manage media relations, external communications, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Advise senior leaders on government and corporate affairs issues.
  • Protect and enhance Mondelez International’s reputation through effective communications.
  • Build relationships with key journalists and manage our UK web presence.
  • Oversee agency relationships for corporate communications and government affairs.
  • Lead the press office function.
  • Manage issues and crisis communications.
  • Build and implement a proactive Government Affairs strategy.
  • Maintain relationships with government departments, political advisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Work with the European Public Affairs team on cross‑market issues.
  • Represent Mondelez International with trade associations, government, and NGOs.
  • Manage the UK and Ireland Communications and Government Affairs budget.
What You Will Bring
  • Building and delivering corporate and government affairs strategies, preferably in a large, matrix multinational or FMCG organisation, a political setting, agency or industry trade association.
  • Extensive experience in corporate affairs, public affairs, or communications.
  • Proven ability to lead and build teams.
  • Strategic leadership of agencies.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage change.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior stakeholders.
  • Budget management.
