Job summary

Technique Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an Exterior Yacht Designer to join the design team in Southampton, collaborating with naval architects and project managers from concept to production. You’ll develop detailed exterior outfits, assemblies, and deck layouts, using NX for a precise digital twin and providing production support throughout build.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in exterior yacht design or similar

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed drawings aligned with design plans and schedules
• Develop and maintain a digital twin of yachts using NX 3D CAD
• Manage technical information for exterior outfit and naval architecture
• Liaise with external suppliers and fabricators
• Undertake surface modelling and GRP tooling design
• Support project managers with technical information for client decisions
• Coordinate with Production to resolve design issues and update methods
• Maintain design information databases including drawings and weight estimates
• Develop deck fittings, components, and fabrications
• Design exterior mechanical systems and installations such as pushpits and deck hatches
