A leading retail company in the UK is seeking an accountable Commercial Manager to shape and deliver the commercial strategy. You'll lead teams, optimize performance, and drive profitability through strong P&L management while fostering collaboration with various stakeholders. This role is accountable for shaping and delivering the Express commercial strategy across six key pillars: Category Strategy & Insight, Trade Planning, Range Planning, P&L Management, Execution & Team Development, and Customer & Market Focus. You will lead Commercial Managers and Trade Planning teams to embed customer‑centric strategies, optimize promotional and range plans, and drive profitability through robust P&L ownership. Collaboration with suppliers, senior stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams is critical to ensure innovation, operational readiness, and competitive positioning.
To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
