Express Activity Planning Manager – Leeds

In this role, you will develop and deliver the Promotional and Marketing Strategy for Asda Express, ensuring a cohesive customer proposition that communicates both value and quality. You will work to create impactful campaigns and initiatives that resonate with customers, driving engagement and loyalty while supporting overall business growth.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of shaping and delivering the Express customer proposition, working cross‑functionally to define and embed a value‑led offer.
• Through detailed analysis and promotional autopsies, you’ll understand category roles and space principles.
• You’ll collaborate with Commercial Managers and suppliers to align activity and maximize opportunities.
• Leading the end‑to‑end trade plan, you will manage the quarterly promotional planning process—from strategy through execution—ensuring promotions land right first‑time and driving process improvements for a streamlined approach.
• You’ll also work closely with key stakeholders to translate plans into strong in‑store execution.
• Analytical and data‑driven, skilled in using data to make informed decisions and optimise results.
• Be a strong communicator with great personal skills to work with people at all levels – not just in our business, but also beyond it.
• Thrive in a fast‑paced environment, with the ability to manage change and drive results.

Hybrid Working

To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
