Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis.

Location: We’re flexible! You can be based from any of our UK offices.

The opportunity

Do you have a background in exposure management? Are you proactive in thinking about and driving change? If so, we would love to hear from you! An exciting opportunity to take on this role in the Technical Underwriting team.

About the role

As the Exposure Management Technical Manager, you’ll be managing a team of 2-3 consultants jointly leading the UK approach to exposure management across all lines of business, enabling the UK branch to understand exposures and proactively manage them within our risk appetite.

This role would be ideal for someone with a technical background in exposure management, experience of leading a team and driving change through data‑driven insights.

Responsibilities
  • Jointly lead the UK approach to exposure management across all lines of business and enable the UK branch to understand exposures.
  • Provide data analysis insight and direction to all MFUs on exposure management, proactively reporting granular insights on key hotspot areas.
  • Create and manage tools with local data analysts to enhance exposure visibility.
  • Lead RDS processes and develop exposure scenarios to understand systemic risks, sharing insights with underwriting actions to maintain risk appetite.
  • Manage a team of exposure management consultants and data analysts to deliver high‑quality underwriting data and support business goals.
  • Lead proactive review of upcoming weather and other external events across all lines of business to identify potential exposures and communicate findings.
  • Own and ensure exposure data quality, ensuring underwriting operations comply with established rules, frameworks and agreed standards.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, e.g., ELTO.
  • Plan and conduct regular exposure management quality reviews to identify, assess and mitigate risks.
