Job description

Manpower UK are excited to be supporting our client who are the UK's leading conveyor manufacturer, our client designs and produces high-quality conveyor systems for a wide range of industries, including logistics and construction. With a strong presence in the UK construction market, our client is expanding its international footprint and is seeking a driven Export Sales Representative to help lead their growth.

The Export Sales Representative will be responsible for driving international sales of our client's conveying machinery and spare parts. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing distributor relationships, providing technical product support, and overseeing the full sales cycle in key export markets.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to travel regularly within Europe along with worldwide travel to the USA and Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand the company's conveyor systems into new and existing international markets.
  • Identify, contact, and establish relationships with overseas distributors, agents, and direct customers.
  • Present technical product information to customers, advising on system capabilities and suitable configurations for their operational needs.
  • Provide quotes, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to close sales in alignment with company goals.
  • Manage the full export process, including coordination with our production, back office, and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Attend international and UK trade shows, site visits, and customer meetings to promote products and build relationships.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of export regulations, customs procedures, Incoterms, and documentation requirements.
  • Track sales pipeline activity and provide accurate forecasting and reporting to management.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a sales environment.
  • Export Sales Experience (Desirable).
  • Basic technical understanding of mechanical systems – experience with conveyors, automation, or material handling systems is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, German, French) are desirable.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 30‑40% of the time.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
