Associated Veterinary Services UK seeks a veterinary professional to join our busy export certification team. You will prepare and sign EHCs, inspect goods for labeling, and ensure documents meet current legislation for international export.

You will travel between export locations, maintain relationships with customers, and supervise a Certification Support Officer. RCVS membership and a valid driving licence with own car are required.

Qualifications

• Experience or basic knowledge in export certification is essential.
• RCVS Membership is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and sign EHCs, check requirements and notes for guidance and legislation; gather supporting documents.
• Inspect goods for packaging integrity and labeling with Certification Support Officer.
• Send documentation to the agreed timescale and email certified copies to relevant parties.
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the team and export customers.
• Understand export requirements for various pet species and countries; confidentially administer vaccinations and treatments for export; conduct health checks for fit‑to‑travel.
• Be a proactive learner, open to direction, and contribute to a growing business.
• Travel between export locations/clients as needed.
• Manage Certification Support Officer on your disposal.

We certify for export pets and products of animal origin. We have an exciting opportunity as our company continues to grow, for additional Vet to become a member of our team.

Job description

Duties:

Tasks may vary from day to day depending on business needs but will include the following:

Preparing and signing EHCs. This means you’ll have to check the requirements and the certificates’ notes for guidance and current legislation, and you will need to gather the necessary supporting documents. You or Certification Support Officer on your disposal will have to inspect the goods, integrity of the packaging and labelling.

Sending the appropriate documentation to the agreed timescale and emailing certified copies to all relevant parties.

Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with company’s team members and export customers.

Be able to understand the export requirements of various species of Pets to various countries, and to be able to confidentially administer vaccinations and treatments in preparation for their compliance for their successful export. There will also be a requirement for you to be able to carry out health checks to issue fit-to-travel or any other documents required for their export from the UK.

A proactive learner, open to direction and eager to contribute to a growing business.

Working hours:

40 hours per week.

Monday to Friday.

Occasional early start, late finish or weekend work may be required.
