Job summary

Didcot Glass & Glazing Ltd, a family-run firm in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, is seeking an Experienced Window Fitter with 5+ years of glazing experience. The role involves installing, repairing and maintaining glazing/door systems in homes and businesses.

A clean driving licence is required, and a company vehicle may be provided. You will join a small team, work both independently and with others, and must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service.

Job description

Didcot Glass & Glazing Ltd are a family run firm located in Wallingford, Oxfordshire who are looking to add a new member to the team due to a large increase in work. We require a self-motivated experienced window and door fitter with excellent communication skills, and a clean driving license as you will be given a company fleet vehicle.

The Experienced Window Fitter will work to install, repair and maintain glazing / door systems and fixtures in residential and commercial settings. The successful candidate will join our existing team and will have no less than 5+ years’ experience in the relevant trade.

You must be capable of working alone and as part of a team with good timekeeping & communication skills. A good level of customer service as essential.

You will be required to pass a DBS check that we will pay for.

Residing close to our main offices would be an advantage in this position.

The Experienced Window Fitter will work in cooperation with management, colleagues & other trades and labourers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project. Providing adequate services will ensure that all standards of building codes and health and safety are met.

Responsibilities

As an Experienced Window Fitter, you will be expected to take the lead on installations and in all aspects of glazing in all types of properties from commercial premises to private households.

You will work with Timber, Aluminium and UPVC products.

Company vehicle may be provided subject to driving licence

PPE Provided as required

Company clothing by way of tops, hats, shirts and warm wear.

Salary is dependant on experience/skill.
