Job summary

Vets for Pets Whetstone in London is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon for a part-time role (24 hours per week) to join a modern, well-equipped practice.

You will consult and perform surgeries, work with a supportive team, and have opportunities to develop clinical interests with CPD support and a focus on patient care. RCVS registration and 2+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with current registration.
• At least two years of clinical experience in veterinary practice.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Comfortable working both in a team and independently.
• Interest in developing a clinical specialism (ultrasound/scanning advantageous).

Our purpose-built Whetstone practice opened in July 2025, and we're looking for a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team. The Role

• Part-time - 24 hours per week
• Consult and surgical duties (consult-only applicants will also be considered)

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Has at least two years' clinical experience
• Is confident with consultations and routine surgery
• Has excellent communication and client care skills
• Enjoys working as part of a team while also being comfortable working independently
• Is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care
• Has an interest in developing a clinical specialism (ultrasound/scanning experience is an advantage but not essential)
