A well-known container haulier is looking to recruit a Transport Planner to join their busy & friendly team at their Southampton depot. If you have previous container transport experience and are looking to make your next career move, this could be the perfect opportunity to progress.

The Role:

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service within a busy transport office. Your duties include organising and planning vehicles, obtaining VBS slots, liaising with direct customers, freight forwarders, the port, and drivers. You should be proactive, a natural problem solver, and possess a positive can-do attitude. Good geographical knowledge of the UK is essential.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in a Transport / Traffic office environment
• Knowledge of transport & distribution
• Good geographical knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Natural problem-solving ability

Desirable Criteria:

• 2-3 years minimum container planning experience

About the Company:

The client is a well-known container haulier operating a large fleet of vehicles across the UK. The company offers a friendly, busy working environment.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm or 8.30am-6.30pm, with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.

Salary & Benefits:
