THEPOSITION

As a Technical Business Analyst at Acturis you will:

  • Work in one of five teams focused on core Acturis System development and implementation, web solution development for customers, or insurance product implementations

  • Help clients understand the options and possibilities for how they can use the highly configurable and complex Acturis System

  • Design and implement top quality new software solutions

  • Solve challenging technical problems using a structured and logical approach

  • Gather client requirements and turn these into detailed, unambiguous and accurate specifications

  • Manage the build of sometimes complex implementations, and ensure this is done to specification

  • Continuously monitor and improve all aspects of the Acturis System

  • Support the sales team by contributing to client proposals including presenting and demonstrating technical solutions to clients

  • You will be given early responsibility for discrete projects and will receive structured, termly feedback.

Acturis gives early responsibility for line management, including mentoring new joiners, designing and delivering training programmes, and coaching others to develop their skills and responsibilities

Training

  • New joiners receive concentrated initial training and close mentoring

  • Colleagues are encouraged to complete industry standard training in relevant topics

  • More senior colleagues can choose courses with time set aside and the course paid for

  • The Acturis management team run training sessions to pass on experience and best practice


CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidates will have following attributes:

  • 2-3 year’s relevant work experience in a Technical Business Analyst type role

  • Achieved a 2:1 or above in any STEM subject

  • Excellent A-levels, ideally including an A in Maths

  • First-rate problem-solving skills

  • Logical, well organised, and practical

  • A track record of delivering on projects and an ability to carry tasks through to completion

  • Confident and eager to take on responsibility

  • The ability to work well as part of a team, seamlessly collaborating with others

  • Computer literate (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel) and able to pick up new concepts quickly

  • Some roles are more client-focused where an ability to build relationships with customers and strong communication skills are essential
