Job summary

Kairos Recruitment is seeking an Experienced Sign Maker in Derby for a hands-on workshop role with potential installation support. You will contribute to the design, manufacture and finishing of bespoke signage, ensuring high quality and precise execution in a busy team environment.

The ideal candidate brings minimum 5 years' sign making experience, a strong eye for detail and pride in workmanship. Competitive salary and stable, full-time permanent role with day hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within sign making and a strong understanding of signage manufacturing processes.
• Experience with vinyl application and LED/illuminated signage.
• Comfort with a range of signage materials and substrates and with workshop machinery.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing and assembling a wide range of bespoke signage.
• Vinyl application and finishing.
• Building up tray signs.
• Working with materials and substrates for illuminated signage.
• Using power tools and workshop equipment.
• Operating acrylic laser machinery and vertical panel saw.
• Following manufacturing specifications and maintaining a high standard of finish.
• Supporting installation teams when required.
