A leading education recruitment agency in Manchester is seeking an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time temporary role. You will support children with Special Educational Needs in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. Qualifications

  • Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time, term time only
  • Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £100 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP

Are you an experienced teaching assistant looking for a new role? We are currently working with a large SEN provision in the Sale area to recruit for experienced teaching assistants to join their team ASAP.

You will be working with small groups and children 1:1 whilst supporting the class teacher. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) then this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting children with challenging behaviours and SEN in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Building positive relationships with class teachers to monitor progress and implement strategies
  • Preparing resources for lessons to enhance learning experiences
  • Engaging and building rapport with pupils to encourage learning
Experience, Training & Qualifications
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach training is highly desired
  • Previous experience supporting complex needs in a residential or school setting
Eligibility
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
