Location: Burnley BB10

Hours: Split Shifts 35 hours per week, 5:30am – 10pm, on a rota basis each week between the times.

Salary: £12.81 per hour

Contract Type: Temp to Permanent

Are you a reliable and dedicated individual looking for a rewarding role in a school environment? We are seeking an experienced School Caretaker to ensure our school is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repairs – Carry out minor repairs, maintenance tasks, and general upkeep of the school premises.
  • Security – Ensure the safety and security of the school, including unlocking/locking buildings, checking alarms, and monitoring access points.
  • Cleaning & Hygiene – Oversee cleanliness, conduct routine inspections, and ensure all areas are well‑maintained.
  • Safety Compliance – Conduct regular health and safety checks, fire drills, and risk assessments.
  • Logistics Support – Set up spaces for events, receive deliveries, and manage storage.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong practical skills for general repairs and maintenance.
  • Good problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations (or willingness to learn).
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
