Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Asbestos Administrator to generate and quality check asbestos survey reports. You will work closely with project managers and surveyors while ensuring compliance with reporting standards. Job description

To generate asbestos survey reports from information supplied by lead surveyors, using Word templates and print‑quality‑checked reports into a PDF format. Liaise with project managers and lead surveyors relating to reporting queries, making sure these are returned in a timely manner to ensure internal and external reporting KPI’s are met.

To quality check asbestos bulk analysis certificates against site paperwork/custody forms for errors.

Liaise with analytical contractors to ensure that errors are dealt with and to ensure all sample results are returned in a timely manner.

To collate asbestos sample results and site drawings to be produced on Visio and quality‑check the returned site plans.

Responsible for the archiving/filing and scanning of site documentation and ensuring that all electronic file names are as required.

The role requires a hands‑on approach and the asbestos administrator will be expected to be proactive in their own learning as well as being trained to in‑house procedures and paperwork. Relevant external training courses will be provided as and when necessary.

This role overview is not intended to be all‑inclusive; other duties relating to services offered may be required dependent on the needs of the business. In some instances you may be required to carry out tasks for other parts of the group.

Qualifications and Skills
  • GCSE 4/5 and above or equivalent in: English Language and Mathematics
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and PDF editing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Methodical and meticulous
  • Good time‑keeping and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of the asbestos industry (desirable)
  • Good level of problem solving
  • Use of asbestos databases
