Overview

Experienced Mechanical HVAC Engineer | Leeds | Full Time | £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE)

Our client is a well-established, multi-disciplinary M&E business based near Leeds. With a strong reputation for quality, teamwork, and staff retention, they’re now expanding their HVAC division and seeking an experienced engineer to take a hands-on leadership role with genuine long-term progression opportunities.

Are you the right person?
  • Around 10 years’ hands-on HVAC installation experience (air conditioning, ventilation)
  • Proven technical ability with strong leadership potential
  • F-Gas certified with a valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence
  • Confident managing projects from installation to commissioning
  • Experience in pricing, tendering, and coordinating multi-trade projects
  • Friendly, professional, and a strong communicator
  • PASMA certification or electrical/ductwork knowledge advantageous
What will your role look like?
  • Deliver and manage HVAC installations across commercial, residential, and care environments
  • Initially hands-on for approximately 12 months before moving into a project management role
  • Lead installation of air conditioning, MVHR, and VRF systems
  • Support tendering, pricing, and progress reporting
  • Build and lead a small HVAC team within 6–12 months
  • Travel mainly within West Yorkshire (typically within 90 minutes), with occasional short-term national projects
