Job summary

Nurseplus UK Ltd is hiring an Experienced Healthcare Assistant to support vulnerable individuals across residential and community care settings in the Preston area. You will contribute to care plans, promote dignity, and help with daily living activities, under supervision of nurses and senior carers.

We value reliability, good English communication, and a flexible approach to shifts, including weekends. A driving licence and enhanced DBS are requested to enable travel between sites and safe,

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and have right to work in the UK.
• At least 6 months UK-based paid experience in residential/nursing care.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Flexibility to travel between care settings.
• Good standard of English and clear enhanced DBS (applied for on registration).

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support safe lifting and moving as per care plans.
• Administer medications as directed and supervised.
• Prepare meals and provide companionship.
• Collaborate with care plans to maintain independence and dignity.

What We’re Looking For

You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.

At least 6 months of UK-based paid experience working within a residential or nursing home setting.

Full UK Driving Licence

Flexibility in your availability, with the ability to travel to different care settings.

A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.

A clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting service users with personal care, safe lifting and moving, administering medication, meal preparation, and providing general companionship. You’ll work closely with care plans to ensure individuals maintain independence and dignity.
