Position: Electrician
Location: Northern Ireland (Belfast Head Office)
Duration: Temp-Perm
Rate of Pay: £18.36 per hour
Hours of Work: Full time, 40-hour week
My client is a leading Construction, Fit Out and Facilities Management provider with offices across the UK. They deliver a wide range of projects, including electrical installation and maintenance, for private, public sector, and retail clients - meaning no two days are ever the same for their team. Employing over 170 people across the UK and Ireland, they have ambitious plans to continue growing in the coming years.
Following new contract wins and expanding workloads with existing clients, they are now seeking multiple experienced plumbers to join their team within the County of Armagh.
The ideal candidates will have a proven track record of successfully installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components. The positions require knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations. The successful candidates will be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks at once.
The Package
- Earning potential of £50,000 per annum to include rate, overtime and on call. Regular overtime at enhanced hourly rates always available making it easy to earn the OTE advertised.
- Higher hourly rate of pay than JIB rates.

Duties (not limited to)
- Carried out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and components across commercial and industrial sites.
- Diagnosed and resolved electrical faults safely and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Conducted routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance in line with regulatory standards (NICEIC, IEE Wiring Regulations, BS 7671).
- Installed and maintained lighting systems, power distribution, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other building services.
- Ensured all work was completed to health & safety standards, following risk assessments, method statements, and company policies.
- Collaborated with engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality, compliant electrical solutions.
- Maintained accurate job records, service reports, and compliance documentation for audits and client requirements.
- Responded to reactive maintenance requests, troubleshooting urgent issues and providing safe, effective resolutions.
- Assisted with project planning, procurement of materials, and coordination of subcontractors where required.
- Kept up to date with industry standards and training, including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Essential Criteria
- City and Guilds Level 3 5357
- AM2S End Point Assessment
- Clean Driving License
- CSR trained
- At least 2 years' time served as a fully qualified electrician
Desirable Criteria
- City and Guilds Periodic Inspection and Testing 2391 (after 6 months' probation we as a company can consider putting them through this course)
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings BS 5839-1:2
- Qualified Certifier (QC) in Electrical Testing and Verification (for ROI)
- PAT testing course
- JIB card
- PASMA course
- MEWP course
Due to the nature of the work successful applicants will need to complete an enhanced Access NI.
