Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd partnered with a well-established electrical contractor to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator in Birkenhead. The role involves preparing accurate estimates and tenders for a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial projects, coordinating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to optimise cost and bid outcomes.

You will review drawings, cost data and specifications, identify risks and opportunities, and support the project team through tender submission

Qualifications

Strong electrical estimating experience.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong commercial awareness.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience with relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office.
A proactive and organised approach to your work.

Responsibilities

Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications.
Preparing detailed and accurate electrical estimates.
Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Producing competitive tender submissions.
Identifying project costs, risks and commercial opportunities.
Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
Supporting the commercial and project teams.
Managing multiple tenders and ensuring deadlines are met.
