McKinsey & Company in Europe is seeking a high-potential professional to join our Operations Practice and Capital Excellence focus. You will drive problem solving for clients, develop strategies with cross-border teams, and implement lean construction initiatives to build client capability.

You will receive extensive training and mentoring from leaders, with opportunities to travel across Europe and contribute to high-impact projects within a dynamic, performance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and exceptional academics required.
• Broad experience in a capital excellence topic (e.g., capital projects, capital management systems, real estate, infrastructure, construction).
• Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities.
• Mobility and enthusiasm for taking on European assignments during the work week.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and the local office language.

Responsabilités

• Problem solving for clients including identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing analyses, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations.
• Work with colleagues and clients from a wide range of business areas across Europe to develop strategies that support clients’ business objectives and give them a competitive edge.
• Carry out lean construction project implementations and capability-building plans for all relevant levels of client leadership and McKinsey client service teams, with anticipated deliverables, outcomes, and required resources.
• Gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm through exceptional training, frequent coaching, and mentoring from colleagues and senior leaders.

Your Impact

You will be based in one of our European offices as part of our Operations Practice.

Our Operations Practice assists our clients in solving complex operational challenges. Blending strategic thinking with hands‑on practicality, our teams of consultants and experts work to develop and implement operational strategies that solve our clients’ most critical problems.

McKinsey’s Capital Excellence service line is part of our Operations Practice, providing clients with support and advising their management teams on strategic and operational questions relating to large construction projects.
