Job description

Machine Operators

Skilled Machine Operators with experience within the automotive / aerospace / manufacturing sectors. Ideally, candidates will have previous experience within a mechanical assembly and be able to follow written and verbal instructions clearly. Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace is essential.

Candidates must be able to work 2 cycle shifts to start and then 3 cycle rotational shift patterns as required. You will be working 37 hours per week. There will be a requirement to work additional hours when required.

Duties

• Assembling safety‑critical products ensuring 100% accuracy
• Assembly of medium to heavy components requiring dexterity
• Properly use and understand the required measurement equipment
• Use of hand, power and air tools
• Participate in the principles of teamwork
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
• Operate and perform at speeds necessary to meet production demand
• Bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours
• Hand and eye coordination
• Read drawings
• Work overtime when required
• Operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation
• Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners
