Job summary

BDO UK is seeking an experienced Expatriate Tax Advisor to deliver compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of international clients. You will work with management and partners to create tax strategies and support cross-border projects in a flexible, agile environment.

You will handle complex tax issues, develop client relationships and help grow our expatriate tax practice across the UK.

Qualifications

• In-depth up-to-date knowledge of taxation with ability to handle complex issues
• Project and staff management experience
• Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably while seeking new opportunities
• Experience dealing with client senior management
• Educated to degree level; CTA/ATT desired or equivalent, or qualified by experience
• Demonstrable post-qualification experience

Responsibilities

• Provide Expatriate Tax compliance and advisory services to a range of clients
• Support the Manager/Senior Manager as required; assist Directors/Principals/Partners
• Contribute to client work and to group and practice management
• Be involved in ad hoc special assignments as they arise

This role will provide Expatriate Tax compliance and advisory services to a range of clients. The primary responsibility will be to deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients, supporting the Manager/Senior Manager as required. You will also provide assistance to Director/Principals/Partners in both client work and in the management of the group and on occasions the practice. You will be involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

• An in depth, up to date, knowledge of taxation with specialist knowledge and the ability to deal with complex tax issues


• Project and staff management experience


• Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably whilst being able to actively seek opportunities for developing new clients and for selling new services to existing clients


• Experience of dealing with client senior management


• Educated to degree level and ideally CTA and/or ATT qualified or equivalent or qualified by experience


• Demonstrable post qualified experience
