A leading museum organization in Greenwich is seeking an Exhibitions Interpretation Curator to support the delivery of engaging and accessible exhibitions. The role is within the Working in the Exhibitions and Design department, reporting to the Head of Exhibitions and Design. The Exhibitions Interpretation Curator will be responsible for supporting the delivery of on-site permanent and semi-permanent galleries, temporary exhibitions, smaller re-displays, digital outcomes and a range of display interventions across the sites of Royal Museums Greenwich.
The postholder will collaborate with museum colleagues to research, develop, and evaluate exhibitions, focusing on exhibition interpretation using a wide variety of techniques. They will work with internal and external teams to ensure displays are accessible, engaging, and of high standards, while fostering community involvement and inclusion. The role requires a strong background in museum exhibitions, with expertise in interpreting complex content for diverse audiences.
This is a full time, permanent role in Band 4 - Senior Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 hours per week, working 5 days between the hours of 9am and 5pm. On occasion some flexibility may be required.
