Job summary

A leading UK-based exhibit builder seeks an experienced Workshop Manager to lead its workshop near Peterborough. The role focuses on delivering production targets, coordinating cross-department workflows and driving continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.

The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience in manufacturing, excellent people leadership, and the ability to optimise resources. A competitive salary and benefits package accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising teams in workshop/manufacturing environments.
• Strong people management and coaching abilities.
• Excellent planning and multi-priority organisation.
• Experience with continuous improvement and process changes.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day workshop operations to meet production targets.
• Coordinate stand builds, finishing, print requirements and dispatch.
• Plan and allocate workloads to maximise efficiency.
• Lead, motivate and develop the workshop team.
• Escalate issues and lead on shop-floor presence.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain health & safety culture.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales, Print, Warehouse and Operations.
