SWIFT Temps Ltd Driving Recruitment Division in Exeter is seeking a reliable Class 2 trunking driver for a temp-to-perm role. The job combines driving, yard duties and customer service, with responsibilities including collecting waste bins and transporting waste to Avonmouth for incineration.

Applicants must hold a valid UK Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card. South West knowledge and strong customer service skills are a plus, with a Monday–Friday afternoon shift and

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence.
• Must hold a valid Driver CPC (all modules up to date).
• Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Good geographical knowledge of the South West is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Safety conscious.
• Able to undertake manual handling duties when required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Carry out scheduled bin collections and uplifts.
• Undertake general yard duties as required.
• Service customer sites in a professional and courteous manner.
• Transport waste from Exeter to Avonmouth for incineration.
• Complete daily vehicle defect checks and report any issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and company procedures.
• Accurately complete delivery and collection paperwork.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
