Job summary

Qube Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join a busy Exeter waste management operation. The role involves offensive waste collection from commercial customers, driving a Class 2 vehicle and following scheduled routes.

You will carry out daily vehicle checks, handle manual tasks, and maintain professional customer service while working around 8-hour shifts at £17.07 per hour. This is an ongoing, full-time position with reliable, safe operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• Comfortable working in hands-on waste/refuse environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Good customer service skills.
• Able to follow routes and company procedures.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 HGV for commercial waste collection.
• Collect offensive waste from customer sites.
• Follow refuse collection routes.
• Visit multiple customer locations daily.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and keep vehicle clean.
• Work to scheduled routes and collection requirements.
• Interact professionally with customers.
