JOB SUMMARY

The Executive Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu planning, and staff management. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, creative culinary abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Your tasks as an Executive Sous Chef will include

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing culinary events, including menu development, costing, and staffing
  • Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to minimize waste and maintain optimal stock levels
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative and seasonally inspired menus that showcase local ingredients and meet the needs of our guests
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, while promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and teamwork
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director and other department heads to ensure seamless integration of culinary offerings with overall guest experiences and events
  • Embrace sustainability and seasonality in menu development, sourcing the finest local and artisanal ingredients to create memorable dining experiences
