Job Description

Turner & Townsendare seeking an experiencedExecutive Project Portfolio Directorto leadand develop a teamofProjectManagers andthe delivery ofprojectmanagement serviceson major projects and programs in theData Center market.This individual will bebased in Northern Virginia and willberesponsible forensuring service excellence in terms of servicedelivery, continued growthof our projectmanagement service offeringincludingclientengagementand market outreach.

The successful candidate will be a driven leader with great interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong leadership skills, experience leading aprojectmanagement team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
  • Lead communications with the client and oversight ofprojectmanagement team services.
  • Leadresearch related to construction market conditions, including analysis of official published data.
  • Produce thought leadership reportsprovidingvaluable insights to theconstruction market
  • Lead thestrategic and operational management ofProjectManagement Services in a variety of sectors, including resource planning and management,financialmanagement,businessgeneration and trainingand development.
  • Set a clear strategy and ambition with the team in line withour Business Plan
  • Grow and develop exceptional people, promoting a culture of learning,respectand inclusivity.
  • Knowledge management – Ensure that key information andlearninggenerated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.
  • Process improvement – Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
  • Quality Control – Ensure compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits.
  • Develop priority plans including risk mitigation through internal tools, make performance measurements via Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and appraisal documents, management controls and critical success factors based on company goals
  • Undertake internal BMS audits, and coordinate and represent the office for external audits undertaken by the external certification authority.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the market, acting as a brand ambassador and creating a pipeline of opportunity with existing and new clients
  • Identifyand act upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings with Senior leadership, Directors and staff and prepare and deliver presentations
  • Financial Management–Using internalsoftware, track ongoing revenue,margin levelsand monthly fees andresourcerequirementsfor eachcost ,amahecommission.
  • Preparation of proposals/RFP responses for new clients/projects.
  • Attendrelevant networkingeventsand other promotional opportunities with directors.
  • Support the training and mentorship of current staff and promotean upwardcareer trajectory.
  • Proactivelypartnerwithtalent acquisition teamtoattract the best talent,actively manage resourcerequirementsand proactively plan forfuturestaffing needs.
  • Be a role model that drives a one business culture that achieves great outcomes by striking the right balance for our people, clients, stakeholders, and society.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications

Required

15+ years of experiencedelivering large‑scale capital projects, including megaprojects in data centers, pharmaceuticals, high‑tech manufacturing, or semiconductors.

Proven track record overseeing$1B+ programsor portfolios of complex, multi‑phase projects.

Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, commissioning, and commercial functions.

Deep understanding of project controls, risk management, contracting strategies, and large‑scale program governance.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and clients.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Preferred

Experience with hyperscale data center programs, semiconductor fabs, or regulated pharmaceutical environments.

Advanced degree (MBA, MS Engineering) or professional certifications (PMP, CCM, PE, CxA).

Experience with EPC/EPCM, CMAR, or integrated delivery models.
