Job summary

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow invites applications for the role of Principal to steer artistic, academic and organisational development. You will work with the Board, staff and students to shape the institution’s future and safeguard its finances, leading the Senior Management Team and advancing standards.

Responsibilities include championing the student experience, developing income and partnerships, and representing the Conservatoire to funders, government and the arts sector.

Qualifications

• Candidates may come from artistic, academic or other professional backgrounds.
• Senior leadership experience required or highly desirable.
• Financial and commercial understanding essential.
• International outlook and experience working with diverse ensembles and partners.
• Commitment to inclusion and performing arts education; compassionate leadership.
