Join our Major and Complex Loss team as a Building Surveyor and play a pivotal role in supporting clients through some of their most challenging moments. Based in the Glasgow area, you’ll work alongside a diverse and highly skilled team of adjusters and support colleagues, providing technical expertise and guidance on a wide range of major and complex losses. Your knowledge of buildings and construction will be essential as you assist lead adjusters, ensuring every aspect of the loss is managed with precision and care.

This role offers the best of both worlds: the camaraderie of a collaborative office environment and the flexibility to work remotely, fully supported by innovative IT systems and comprehensive administrative assistance. You’ll frequently travel to meet clients and customers across Scotland, making a tangible difference where it matters most.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in managing complex commercial building reinstatement projects. Ideally, you’ll be MRICS qualified or working towards this, and you’ll bring strong interpersonal skills, a passion for developing others, and a disciplined, organised approach to your work.

  • Professional qualifications: MRICS qualified, or actively working towards completion of this qualification.
  • Technical expertise: Demonstrable experience in managing complex commercial building reinstatement projects.
  • Claims knowledge: Previous experience with insurance claims and a strong market profile are advantageous.
  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively and coach or develop colleagues.
  • Self-motivation: Proactive approach with the ability to motivate both yourself and others.
  • Organisational ability: Highly organised and disciplined in managing workload and priorities.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently to customer and client sites across Scotland.
  • Driving licence: Full UK driving licence required.
