Job summary

De Vere Tortwort Court is seeking an Executive Head Housekeeper for its 201-bedroom hotel in Gloucestershire. You will lead a team to deliver impeccably clean bedrooms and public areas, manage stock and equipment, and ensure high standards throughout the department.

The role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and attention to detail. You will plan rotas, work with other departments, and may cover Duty Manager duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing hotel housekeeping teams.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and guest service focus.
• Familiarity with Opera or Fourth Hospitality systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain high housekeeping standards across rooms and public areas.
• Oversee equipment, linen, stock levels and cost management.
• Lead Supervisors, Housekeeping Assistants, Linen Porters and Cleaners.
• Plan rotas and schedules to meet hotel needs and occupancy.
• Occasionally act as Duty Manager and collaborate with other departments.
