Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in High Wycombe is seeking an Executive Head Chef to lead food production across multiple outlets for a busy club serving 10,000 on match days. The role is full-time and permanent with a salary up to £55,000 per annum and 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include menu planning, ensuring fresh and hygienic production, and managing service to maintain high standards. Applicants should have Level 3 Food Hygiene and City & Guilds qualifications, plus strong English skills.

Qualifications

  • Team working, listening, initiative‑driven, impeccable personal presentation, hygiene and respectful behaviour.
  • Food hygiene certificate preferred; at least a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
  • Adaptable, flexible, reliable, honest and customer‑service oriented.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take responsibility.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Similar experience in a food preparation environment required.
  • Recognised cooking qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor and control food production and service to ensure highest standards in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with fresh food standards, using locally sourced, sustainably sourced and in‑season produce.
  • Plan menus for nutritional value, current food styles and customer expectations for daily service and events.
  • Maintain prompt service, restock and replenish stocks during service, pre‑empt customer needs and achieve optimum service delivery.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of production, storage and service areas and equipment, monitoring food safety and health and safety legislation.
  • Ensure food preparation meets exemplary hygiene and safety standards and staff follows procedures.
  • Inform front‑of‑house of any food short‑falls and pre‑empt any delays in customer waiting.
  • Assist in menu planning, rota creation and placing orders.
  • Operate kitchen in line with current health & safety regulations.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Hours: 40 per week

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Club caters to approximately 10,000 people on match days with several food and beverage outlets and private boxes operating 7 days per week.

Responsibilities
